I am an infographics nerd. If you haven’t gotten into infographics you are missing out on a clear, fun way to tell your story. Infographics are shareable and they make complex ideas easy to understand.  Here are a few examples of effective marijuana infographics I love.

1. Spending Habits of College Students

Good news: It turns out your college kid isn’t spending your money on weed (which probably means they are spending their money. ;).

According to this infographic produced by Study Breaks College Media, college students account for roughly $654 million in cannabis sales every year. While that number seems huge, in a US market valued at over $100 billion dollars, it accounts for less than 1% of the domestic market.

2. Arrest rates for marijuana possession.

I use this one all the time, including on my non-profit website Le’Or.  One thing I don’t love about it is that I think it tries to do a bit to much, and you miss some of the absolutely astounding facts displayed on the chart, simply because there is so much going on. Alas, I love this graphic. Please, share!

3. A Super Charged Story of Marijuana

This one is great because of its brevity. Sometimes infographics get too busy and miss the mark. This one provides a clear history that is scannable for the reader.

4. Going Green: Legalizing Marijuana Is The Best Thing For America

What I love about this one is that it really tells the story of WHY marijuana legalization should happen without doing that “LEGALIZE MARIJUANA!!!” that so many graphics do. It’s something you could share with your mom or with someone who was “on the fence” on the issue.
